Sonostics and BIOPAC Systems have teamed together to produce a new module in BIOPAC’s AcqKnowledge software that enables instant analysis of muscle effort data using proprietary algorithms provided by Sonostics with accompanying TSD250 and TSD251 transducers.

By combining extremely sensitive accelerometers and patent-pending wavelet packet analysis software, Sonostics offers a repeatable modality for muscle assessment by correlating muscle vibration to absolute effort. This is an ideal technology for kinesiology or exercise physiology research as it offers direct measurement of mechanical muscle activity without the known constraints of electromyography.

Just released through BIOPAC Systems – Ideal for measuring muscle activity in smaller muscles, such as the corrugator or zygomaticus (see Blog Post Here) or other smaller muscles.

BIOPAC’s AcqKnowledge software is a powerful vehicle for capturing this data, affording researchers a broad array of statistical tools with which to analyze muscle activity.
